Welcome to CSM Academy

CSM Academy was formed to equip and train students to become viable and contributors in society. We facilitate accredited courses which range from Early Childhood development to Project management; our graduates can move forward into the workplace or start their own enterprises to employ people in their communities.

The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) is a Quality Council established in 2010 in terms of the Skills Development Act Nr. 97 of 1998. Its role is to oversee the design, implementation, assessment and certification of occupational qualifications, including trades, on the Occupational Qualifications Sub-Framework (OQSF).

All our courses are QCTO Accredited

The QCTO's qualification design approach includes knowledge, practical and workplace experience components, as well as the FLC, to obtain an Occupation Certificate at the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Levels 3 and 4. The FLC was developed to replace what was previously known as the "fundamentals" in the legacy qualifications or historically registered qualifications.

The difference between a career and a job

There is a thin line between a job and career, but they are not the same. A job will earn a salary, but a career is more than earning a salary. A career is about having a goal in mind and working towards achieving that goal, so says Ms. Bev Morrison, a development coach based in Johannesburg. (www.careerplanet.co.za, accessed July 2016)”
